  widely used linear-in-means model (Manski, 1993 <https://doi.org/10.2307/2298123>;
  Bramoulle et al., 2009 <https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jeconom.2008.12.021>) and allows
  agents to be influenced differently by friends who exert more or less effort than
  themselves.
